Programs
The Salvation Army Addictions and Rehabilitation Centre has a long history of providing holistic care in the city of Victoria. While some people look at the homelessness issue as being just a physical issue of providing food and shelter, at ARC we see the inner needs – the need for friendship, the need for affirmation, and the need for hope.
Our multipurpose facility and staff make every effort to give residents the opportunity to live in a safe drug and alcohol free environment while they work on the barriers that are keeping them from re-integrating successfully back into the community. We do this through the following programs:
Emergency Shelter Program
21 shelter beds for men are provided with the support of BC Housing
Community Residential Facility (CRF)
50 beds for men released from correctional centres and re-entering the community
Transitional Housing
84 beds are provided to men who have completed treatment of some sort and are preparing to live independently
Community Dining Program
More than 3000+ meals are provided each month to people in our community through our Food Service Department
Emergency Disaster Services
This program is available 24/7 to assist disaster victims and first responders in the event of a crisis in the Capital Region and beyond
Spiritual Care / Chaplaincy
Spiritual support, counselling, and services are made available to those seeking it. Spiritual care is not mandatory for other program involvement.
