Volunteering Opportunities

The Salvation Army Victoria Addictions and Rehabilitation Centre (Victoria ARC) welcomes dedicated individuals to join a community that is committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable men.

As a social services organization, the Victoria ARC provides residential treatment, transitional housing, a halfway house, community meals, and spiritual care programs to support individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and social marginalization. Our work is grounded in compassion, dignity, and hope.

Volunteers play a vital role in our mission. They assist with community meals, offer clerical support, engage residents in meaningful recreational activities, and contribute to special events and seasonal programs. We also welcome practicum students and individuals who are interested in gaining experience in the social services field.

We understand that every volunteer has a different capacity and comfort level. Volunteers are welcome to choose the type of commitment that works best for them. This can include long-term ongoing involvement, short-term placements, or simply helping for a day when they are available. Every contribution is valued and appreciated.

To help you get started, you can choose below whether you would like to commit to long-term volunteering or participate in short-term or one-day opportunities. Please click the button that matches your preference, complete the form, and send it back to us. We will follow up with you once we have received your form.

Whether you have a few hours to give each week or want to support a specific program or initiative, your time and energy can make a real difference.

If you are passionate about serving others and helping to build a more caring community, we would love to hear from you.
