The preparation for our renovation began with lists of issues and tours from visits from architects conceiving drawings to make the buildings better than before. This process plus the permitting and funding process took much time but renovation ultimately began with Canpro, in early July 2016 implementing "Abatement", as Hoarding and other temporary walls went up. Offices and staff were moved to temporary spaces as locations were readied for upgrade, followed by tile ceilings, gyproc walls and aluminum vents were removed prior to replacement. By the end of the 2016, framing was everywhere, the new fire panel had been installed and many of the washrooms had been returned to operation. By May 2017, all washrooms - staff and client - were competed, the front entrance temporarily moved to Wharf Street was back on Johnson street with Lobby and Office areas mostly refurbished while the Chapel was being worked on. By August 2017 renovation was almost done with deficiency checks to see what remained and on the 30th of this month, the City Building inspector declared that ARC had passed inspection. Since then in 2018 the windows have been frosted and the older boilers replaced. I suppose it never ends.
